Kauab is a possible pharaoh who ruled for a very short time after his father, Khufu died. He was an eldest son (his mother was Queen Meritates), but was quickly overthrown by his younger half-brother, Djedefre -- possibly he was killed. Djedefre ruled for a very short time, as well, before being succeeded by Khafre, which fuels the debate that he was not the "rightful" king, either.

There is almost nothing known of him except a few brief mentions.
