The bridge is part of the National Heritage collection in Britain. (National Trust). THere are a limited number of tickets available to cross the bridge, and they may issue a timed ticket to handle crowds. There were only a handfull of people here when we went, but it can be very, very crowded in the summer.

You can also buy a certifcate that you crossed the bridge, although the price is a bit steep.
