Dirleton Castle

Dirleton is worth a leisurely visit, it's absolutely fascinating to see the different phases of building, and how the whole castle may have looked at each phase. I was hoping for a maquette of the 13th century, 16th century, and later castles, to see how they would have been put together, but alas, no luck. Enough of the castle remains, though, to get a very good idea of how it would have looked when it was new.
