I honestly think that the Web has been one of the best things to happen to travel planning in years. All this information is available, you can access brochures, searches, prices, and booking forms on-line for just about anything, and you can actually book and pay for your trip online as well.

I was astounded at the general travel resources available. First off, airline reservations, schedules, and fares are all available online from most airlines. Consolidators and other airfare resources abound.

I've collected a large listing of links to online travel resources of things to do in Scotland, what to see, where to go, how to get there, and various and sundry other links. I used the web almost exclusively to plan my vacation -- and these are the resources that I used to do it.

On the left are some general listings -- what to Pack, a checklist to use to make sure you have everything in order, and some other information -- sunset and sunrise in Aberdeen, and a listing of mileage from major cities.

Also included are links to further resource pages that I've put together, for Scotland specifically, and general travel links.

If you're just interested in the photographs we took (all 900+ of them, you view them through the travelogue that I wrote, or directly to the categories for Castles and Towers, for Abbeys and kirks, and for all the other sights we stopped to take pictures of. Enjoy!
