Entry Fees for Monuments, Temples, Tombs and Museums
All prices are quoted in Egyptian pounds. Where one single entry fee applies to several different tombs, the cost for camera or video camera is for each tomb. Taking pictures everywhere can definitely add up if you carry a video camera.
And yes, that is one hundred pounds for a video camera in some of the tombs. Usually, still cameras are free, although there are a few places where they will charge you extra if you use a tripod.
Please remember that FLASH is not allowed in tombs -- it damages the colors and plaster work. While many caretakers will "let" you use a flash if you pass them a little baksheesh, it still damages the the walls. Try not to do it.
