What Eoin mac Neill Says
to the leaner
The author of this little book is a native Irish speaker from the Aran Islands. She is also a trained, experienced, and highly successful teacher of Irish. THe book will be espeically userful to learners who will have an opportunity of perfecting their knowledge ofIrishby visiting the Irish-speaking districts of Connacht, the phrases being all based on the oridnary usage of those districts. With regard to the use to be made of the book, I can oly support the advice given by Father Toal int he Introduction. Thorough memorising of consecutive passages, spoken aloud with natural rapidity, affords at once the easiest method and the most secure foundation for learning a language.
