  Teirigh a chodladh ~ Tá sé i n-am codalta ( i n-am codlata) thi/ra (taerig) a khullah ~ thaw shae in om kudhultha (in owm kullatha) Go to bed. ~ It is bed-time.
  Bhí codladh mór orm ar maidin ~ mar bhí sé deighearnach (déigheanach) ~ nuair a chuardh mé (a chuadhas) 'mo chodladh aréir. vee kullah mór urrum err mojjin (modhin) ~ mor vee shae djernuch (dae-nuch) ~ noor a hooa mae (a hoo-uss) muh khullah araer. I was very sleepy this morning ~ as it was late ~ when I went to bed last night.

1 Ar chodail tú (ar chodlais) go maith aréir? err khudil thoo (err khul-eesh) guh moh araer. Did you sleep well last night?
2 Chodail mé (chodlas) maith go leor ~ ach athrughadh aréir ~ níor chodail mé (chodlas) néal. khudhil mae (khuluss) moh guh l-yo/r ~ och ahroo araer ~ neer khudhil mae (khuluss) n-yael. I slept well enough ~ but the night before last ~ I did not sleep well.
