There is no verb "to have" in Irish, but it is supplied by the verb tá (thaw) "is", and the preposition "at" as, "I have a book" is tá leabhar agam (thaw l-yowr og'-gum (og-gum'), there is a book at me.
Similarly the verb "to want" is translated into Irish by the verb tá and preposition ó, "from", as tá leabhar uaim (thaw l-yowr wem (wooim)), I want a book (there is a book from me)
