Sound and Light Show Abu Simbel

The temples at Abu SImbel were the highlight of our trip, and the newest Sound and Light show in Egypt is aired here. The fabulous temple is enhanced with a combination of colored lighting, projected images, and lasers -- and it's a pretty stirring sight.

The narration is predictable, but they do a good job explaining the exploits of Ramesses II The Great and the battle of Kadesh. Not that any of it happened like the story implies, of course.

THe projections of full-color images on the carved remains of the temples is stunning -- most statues and buildings were painted brilliand colors.
