Dynasty Notes

The Third Intermediate Period, like those before it, had many competing dynasties ruling at the same time over different areas of Egypt. The 22nd Dynasty was still recognized in Memphis and part sof the delta until about 735 BCE, while it fell from favor in Thebes in about 787.

Libyan kings rules in Tanis and Bubastis during these period, adn were recognized over all of Egypt until about 838 when theTheban dynasty of high priests rose again.
