Cleopatra Berenice ruled for about a year by herself after the death of her husband Ptolemy X Alexander. She was forced to marry her much-younger step son Ptolemy XI Alexander II (he may have been her son, we're not sure) in an attempt to shore up his rule.

He had her killed nineteen days after the marriage.
