Dynasty Notes

The 15th Dynasty is normally considereed to have co-existed with at least the 14th Dynasty, and contains foreign rulers -- Hyksos kings. The Hyksos were invaders :(noted as "rulers of the Foreign Land") from nothern Syria. They arived via Palestine and set up their capitol at Avaris. This is the same city that the pharaoh Ay (last pharaoh of the 13th Dynasty) ruled from.

The Hyksos maintained direct rule over northern Egypt, and maintained at least control over the Egyptian people elsewhere, including the Theban kings of the 17th Dynasty.

The entire Second Intermediate Period is an overlapping collection of kings in differing regions, butthe general collection of Hyksos kings is as follows:

Salitis
Shesi
Yakubher
Khiyan Apachnan
Ipepi
Khamudi
