Titulary
Padibastet ruled at the same time as the late 22nd Dynasty and the 25th Dynasty, from the delta city of Herakleopolis. He attempted to claim kinship over the other region in Egypt, and was often at odds with the other pharaohs in this dynasty and the 24th Dynasty. He eventually submitted to the 25th Dynasty and accepted Piankh as pharaoh. Another king is mentioned in Akkadian texts as ruler of Herakleopolis, a pharaoh named Nakhte. No other evidence for this king is known. |
